I was never much of a Damageplan fan, and Pantera kinda grew old after the first 2 albums... Still, I held Darrel in high regard. He was a talented guitarist, and he was very active... he played a lot of good stuff! It's such a shame...

Damn, i was a huge fan back in the day. I still appreciated there music even when I changed genre's. Sad day, very sad day. I just wonder if our crapbag of a media will glorify them the way they did those 2 rap guys?

Metal gets less respect than rap when it comes to this stuff... He'll be portrayed as a loser who was a victim of the violence he influenced. Just another longhair that no one in the media actually knows.

Dispite the fact that he looked stereotypically "metal" he was actually a very educated and accomplished musician. I doubt that will be mentioned by the media...


It's a shame the shooter died too. I wonder what his reasons were for doing it...

On a side note, I guess there was a slight argument between dime and the fan (or so i've read) and it was to do with the break up of Pantera. Although the original post isn't right. No where did I see Vinny Paul listed as a victim.
