So thats my question, I have a few, but the one that really gets me going is what happened in July.
I was leaving work, and where I work is a very industiralized area, and the road leading in and out of the area has lots of easy turns and the speed limit is 45 MPH.
Anyways, it was about 7:20pm ( it was about sunset and I am just happy to about getting home, anyways, I am going down the road at about 50 MPH. I see this Ford Expedition parked on the side of the road...looked like someone was leaving the junkyard...I think nothing of it...then a nanosecond later...a girl, about 3 years old, wearing a pink dress, darts out from the expedition and stops dead in th middle of my lane. (the road is 2 lanes ( for for each direction) with a narrow shoulder and then has grass, then a fence, on each side)
Anyways, when I see her stop in the middle of the road about 60 feet in front of me. I slam on my brakes, roasting the shit out of my brakes and tires. Well I realized in that instance, that wasnt enough, and all I remember I pulled my E brake and turned my car sideways and hoped to God I wasnt gunna hit her. In fact I think I told myself I would be OK if I wrecked the CB.
I remember looking in my side mirror, and then my back bumper almost clipped her, and then she ran back to th shoulder.....when I hit the dirt...I lost traction, and went running into the bushes, and then rubbed the side of the fence with my front bumper.
I ripped off my front valance that covers the front portion that covers the bottom of the engine.
After collecting myself, I got out of my car and saw the girl, in the arms of her mother and I dont know if I have ever been more relieved in my life. Anyways, mother said she was sorry about what her daughter did, and I was like " Well if my car hit her, it would have been a different story all together"
