Last night around 9:20 or so my friend and i went to Walmart to pick up a quart of oil and some red dixie cups for some beer pong.
Back at the car at about 9:30 we noticed we forgot the pong balls.
So we quickly went back in, got em' and was back to the car no more than 5 minutes later.
When my buddy says, "Dude your windshield is broken!"

We couldn't figure out what it was that broke it until we found a homemade 10ounce fishing weight laying in front of the car.

I just cant believe some one would do this!

I had this happen to my Acura CL a few years ago. They took a landscaping brick, the long grey ones about a foot and half long, and a regular brick and threw them into the front windshield for no apparent reason. I was in a nice neighborhood where nobody knew me. Just random dumbasses. Wal-Mart has a shitload of cameras out front normally so you may want to check with security about watching the tape.

Dude Walmart has security camera's. I bet they can get a tag number. DEFINITELY go talk to a manager right now if you haven't. The sooner, the better. That's not right for someone to deliberately ruin your property.

You should get the windshield replaced for free by your insurance company.

yea, just goto security and check it out for personal use. dont goto cops, just trace the license plate numbers and im pretty sure walmart has a fishing aisle as well. buy 5 more of those 10oz weights and throw them at all the windows of the car that did it to you.

Yeah last time I checked, walmart records them but they don't stay for long, maybe 24 hours tops.

Yeah I went back into walmart rite after it happened.
The manager said they weren't aloud to release the tape to anyone but police.
So i called the police and they said they would look at the cams for any thing suspicious.
It sucks cus this was a fairly new windshield....only about a year and a half old.

Was there any damage to anything but the windshield? At least they're only about $200 installed... not terrible. Better than someone doing major damage to your metal and paint!

$200 is a little steep. Unless thats local economy. I had mine for like $160 and it even came with the tinted bar at the top.

I think it depends on the local market. That price is like 4 years ago for me as well... may have dropped since. That was for them to come out and do it (I had it done at a dealership, but it was a company that'd do it anywhere)
