It's not that big of a deal. It was to me though just cause I wanted to see if I could do it, since AT&T is an asshole about it. Every phone in the world can mms except the king of all phones. Makes no damn sense.


And also I wanted to get it working because I am sick of having to update and rebreak my phone. Reinstalling everything is a pain in the ass. And by the time everyone has broken 3.1, apple will roll out 3.1.1 or 3.2, just to fuck with us or give us more abilities that should have been there since day one.

Simple solution. Dont jailbreak it. I dont see any point in it anyways. I know how to jailbreak it and i have jail broken it. I thought it was useless i dont care about cousmizing my iphone to look ugly. I dont even use many app's either. I gusse thats just me.

a lot of people especially younger folks either hack or jailbreak their iphones to make it be able to do it. Also other countries with the iphone have already enabled it so in canada with rogers' network or something like that then you already have mms. If you have not hacked/jailbroken/unlocked your iphone here in the us with att then you wont have mms until this coming friday.

Its so sad that the best phone out can do all sorts of things except the normal things that you'd need a cell phone to do.

i got my iphone to work with tmobile, since its jailbroken i got this program called swirlymms2 to send and receive pics, its great i also got this video recording program for free

well when the iPhone came out there wernt any apps. Why did people buy it then? I like the web browser, the email, the maps and the ability to have my music and photos on hand. Sure I have some apps but not too many. Just things like eBay and the weather channel. I didn't coustomize mu iPhone to be ugly, I think all the jail broken iPhones I see are ugly. He'll this kid wanted me to work on his iPhone once to replace the speaker. That iPhone was really slow due to all the shit that was going on.

If you want to do it. You need to get supreme prefs 3.0 from cydia. Then you need to enable mms through that, as well as the ability to edit network settings. Then when you go back to your general network setitings you will be able to manually edit the apn settings and enter the AT&T settings for mms. Then you just reset your phone and you will have the little camera icon next to your text box. Simple as that. Now you can keep your jailbroken phone with the 2.2 or 3.0 operating system.

If anyone would like more detailed steps. I'll let you know tomorrow or you can try searching on google. I'm laying in bed right now and I don't wanna get up.

When I want to download the supreme preference from cydia , it says I don't have dependency ( firmwire 3.0) ? So I can't install it ?!?
Last I heard jailbroken phones cant get mms through AT&T, must be third party if u don't want to update your phone ( and lose your jb)
I'm stumped.
