ok well today me and my friends were having an arguement about gucci mane. all of my friends that are from the north (ny etc..) say that he sucks. the ones from florida say hes nice. im from ny but lately ive been listening to a lot of down south music. something about the way he rhymes is perfect to blash in your car. and i have a feeling like he knows exactly what he's doing in all his songs, for example in "Break up" he barely said anything nice, but it still sounded hot. Like if he did it to give us just a taste of what he can really do . maybe its just me .

Gucci's music is great for the times I just want to cruise & hear some funny shit. Does that mean I can't enjoy the intricacies of a good Illmatic era Nas verse or try to keep up w/all the metaphors of an introspective Lupe? NO, I like those dudes too... I started listening to Nas and Raekwon when I first got into rap and tried my hand at it myself
