It's all speculation, and people talk about it as if it was the word of God. We WANT to believe that the government is shady and out to get us. Why? Because it's believeable. We don't understand our own government... so rather than actually learn how it works, and how we work with it (yes, this is a DEMOCRACY... we have the power to change things, however difficult it may be) we'd rather just blame "big brother".

Is the government shady? Absolutely. Why? Because we, as American citizens, don't bother learning and paying attention. We allow it to go on, because it's easier to turn a blind eye. I'm guilty of it myself. I don't know a damn thing... but I don't complain about it. Why? Because I don't know enough to complain. I'm happy enough with the way things are working.


If you have a problem with the way things are running, stop listing to stupid know-it-all snake oil salesmen that will convince your feeble mind that there's something totally out of your sight and out of your control lurking in the shadows... And fucking learn about your government. Get involved, participate, and make the changes that you feel need to be made. If all you can do to "educate" your fellow citizens is link to a pathetic Youtube video that tells us "facts" that we can neither prove nor disprove... because it is all pure speculation and coincidence... then you're a waste of my time.



Honestly, I feel this thread, and this video, are a disgrace... a dishonor to all those that have lost their lives in the 9/11 attacks, as well as all the soldiers that have lost their lives fighting this directionless war.

I don't believe anyone in this country had anything to do with the planning and execution of an attack on innocent citizens. However, I'm sure there are plenty of errors that have been covered up and sugar-coated that allowed the attackers to be successful. Hell, our overly PC attitude is probably partially to blame for not being suspicious of the "terrorist types" that we were teaching how to fly! Granted, that would've been a very unfair generalization... and I support acceptance and equality... but some racism may have saved many lives. That's simply an ethical dilemma. There's really no right or wrong answer.

The people that despise us enough to lauch such an attack hate our way of life. They hate our materialistic existance. They hate that we care more about what we drive and what we wear than we do our souls. They hate us so much for that, that they are willing to violate what they so deeply believe in even worse just to attempt to destroy our way of life.
They are sad, sorry, misguided individuals. Many of them are probably good people that have fallen victim to the propaganda of those with power in their societies. They get wrapped up in righteous hatred, and forget what the core of their beliefs really is...



There will always be someone that hates us, no matter what we do. Americans are hated because we're frivolous. We live lives of materialistic excess, and we parade our wealth and military around like we're the kings of the world... meanwhile, we're lacking in education, and we have many policies that are in desperate need of attention.
But then, look at other persecuted groups. The Jews. The Jews were the target of terrible hatred in the WW2 era. In general, they were a humble, harmless, non-combative people. Pretty much the exact opposite of the world view of the USA.


No matter who you are, what you do, and who you know... someone in this world WILL hate you. That's just how it is.

Bin Laden is very influential. He comes from great wealth, he was trained by the US, and he's a very intelligent man. As a leader, I would feel comfortable saying that he's probably on par with Hitler in terms of influence.
The biggest issue is that he's not the head of a country. We can't just go roast everything within their borders. The enemies we're fighting are all over the world. I believe there were funding sources to Al Quaida discovered from a number of NorthWestern European countries... not the places you'd expect these terrorists to be from, or supported by!

While there are people that are losing their homes left and right,people losing their jobs, everything that was lost in hurricane Katrina has not been repaired and still looks the same after that happened. I have a question for you, as some one who doesnt like our government like must of us what are you going to do? Write a letter? Move to another country? Join the government? What are you going to do , live day be day wondering when all the other nations on the globe will finally say hey you know what, " America doenst have enough man power to use its millitary resources.
