I do believe I was in the 3rd grade.
I was too young to know what was going on..
I remember being at my aunts house seeing it on every channel on TV.
Only thing I was worried about is watching Power Rangers!

I agree with Jspec, it is really something to know that you can never forget where or what you were doing that fateful day.

As for me I was in my senior year of highschool at the track..I remember walking into my second period class (WoodShop) and watching my teachers face...normally he was always in a jovial and joking mood..but I saw the blank stare on his face..I looked up at the tv in time to see a second plane hit..at first I thought it was a replay but hearing the Good Morning America crew gasp in horror I realized it was real.

I didn't really work on my project all the much....just watched the live report on CNN Headline news that day..and I remember they had a live feed from the Pentagon until the report who was live mentioned that a bomb had gone off...and then another report 15 minutes later that another plane had crashed in Pennsylvania.

I really don't remember much of that day..except for the morning and part of the afternoon.

I got home to find that both my parents had been dismissed early...along with my sister who was in 3rd grade at the time.

The newspapers though..that was definitely something different..that one picture of the guy who leaped to his death..has always stuck out in my mind.

4th grade...

The conusler came in and said the twin towers were struk...

I didn't even know what they were at the time.

I was in Manhattan on 9/11 about 15 blocks away from the WTC.

My cousin was a freshman at Pace University, which is like walking distance from the towers.
He was in the library at the time. He said when the first tower fell that all the windows in the library shattered.

So he had to walk from Manhattan to Queens since the trains werent running.

Just after morning marching band practice we came inside the band hall and the tvs were on. All we saw was smoke pouring from the first one, figured it was bombed, like everyone else. I could have sworn I was watching the start of world war 3. Went on as normal as possible the rest of the day til I got home and turned on the tv where it was on every channel except cartoon network. Stayed home the next day because I felt sick to my stomach that something like that could actually happen. 8 years later I dont even notice the date..

I was in 11th grade. Even though it was like 8am for the first strike We didnt hear about it at school until like 10am. I was just thinking of the date and my sisters husband since he use to drive a truck delivering to the city.

In school all the teachers were crying, I just watched the news from the tv in class. Very sad.
