But I'd sure be down for an H22 bisi header.
all the things it hit are the same thing any race header will hit.

you have to notch the crossmember or run a traction bar for it to work in most cases.

The F22A actually has better flow potential than the H22A when properly modified. There's a reason why Bisi has an F22A in his race car, and not an H22A. It's not a gimmick. He didn't do it to be original, he did it to win... and win he does.

I want to know the specs with a few minor upgrades. Add a cat, ram air, and cat back and your numbers are going to be a lot higher and perhaps flatter.

F22A has and economy camshaft and 8.8:1 compression. The head flows about as much as a gsr stock dollar for dollar if you build an f22 vs h22 f22 is way more bang for your buck. Instead of spending 2K on a used engine with 60K miles. You could buy this header buy new bearings seals and gaskets AND bisimoto 12:1 pistons and have a 180WHP motor with zero miles for 2k. Stock exhaust intake and all.

          So $2700 h22 with 60k miles and 150whp vs $2500 F22A 0 miles and 180WHP.

                I can get a h22 for 800 all day
                Two h22s = 1600

                1100 for basic turbo setup....

+ tune and ecu... which you need for either built f22 or boosted h

                    1600+ 1100 =2700

no tranny upgrades or clutch included in that price... So hacked?

Just saying as an example... Lets see you build something faster then what I have for cheaper with your f22......

For what it costs to do an H22 swap properly, you can build an F22A that will make at least stock H22A power.

don't forget with the h22 you have to put 91+ gas....

But to temper that slightly with reality, this was a stock F22, and a stock F22 does NOT flow better than a stock H22. So if you see these gains on a stock F22, imagine how they might look on a stock or mildly built H22, and then even better on a built F22.

speculating that IF you can get a H22A for 800 is this just the long block ? Or is it complete. Elab or else its bs. Speculating that IF we could get a f22a for 300 + ebay gasket 300 + TAS Timing kit 250 + Bisimoto Pistons + 550 + having some one build your motor ( shouldnt cost more than this if you supply all your own parts) 700 + ZEX KIT = 2700 and THEN you could say that the ecu and tuning time is the same cost. Yes the f22 will fuck an h22 up bang per buck. But then you get way into shit like having the h22 sleeved which makes it capable of 700+ hp but are you really going to build a 700+HP FWD car ? For what ? What do you need 700 hp for ? And what kind of gasmilage would you get out of a 4 cyl ? Pour the same amount of money into any 88- UP Honda engine and the results will be about the same. Dropping over 10K in parts in ONE motor is Bullshit. Why do it if your suspension chassis driveling wont be about to handle that shit with out another 10-15K ?

Honestly.. This whole discussion is way off topic for the original meaning of this thread.. And I will just leave it at that..

I paid $500 for mine. Pristine, in complete condition, with a new ACT clutch, and all accessories.

But ChIoVnIdCa is correct, back on topic. This isn't about F vs H series BS. It is about a great F22 product.
