Found an EX wagon in the JY w/ keyless entry.

Is there anything I should be taking from it, and lets say I do pull all the keyless entry stuff, can I get a key fob to use with it??

how exactly would you know if it has that option.

my 93 ex wagon has a little square black sensor looking thing next to the key hole on the drivers side is this a keyless entry sensor

if it's like the later 90's civics, the keyless runs through the radio...

Might need the radio out of there, but not sure.

That's what this one has, except I believe it's a 1991 EX wagon. That black sensor is the infrared sensor for the key fob. Can these key fobs still be found, and does anyone think it's worth pulling??

Prob just easier to get yourself an aftermarket unit IMO.

its a cool little thing. but useless now a days

I had it on my CB9. the whole units wiring it long as hell. & runs every where. the key is big & square with a button on it

youll need the CB9s ignition cuz the key recharges its self in the ignition. & most likely youll have to do ALOT of custom wiring. youll also need the door lock module. Id get it for "looks". sence its kinda rare

& if you want parts of the system, Im parting out my CB9

btw its on all 92-93 EX wagons

Great info guys, I guess I'll just leave it. I wanted it, not for its function really but I just thought it'd be a cool factory feature to add to a sedan.

I'm sure the base version aftermarket alarm is far superior and much more reliable probably. I wouldn't get it. It'd be a nice conversation piece, but would prob. do nothing to stop thieves. Get a nice paging alarm.
