Ok, so its got giant robots (well, really just one giant robot), and its kinda futuristic, but you should try Aquarion. I've only been able to catch ten or so episodes on the Funimation channel, but its been really good every time. There are a bunch of different characters, all with different abilities. The giant robot is made up of three ships, so their are plenty of different mixes made from having a dozen or so pilots for something that only takes three at a time. They do alot of character interaction and development, so its not just "big robot smash" the whole time. I think one or two episodes I saw barely had the robot at all.

I think my biggest beef with giant robot stuff came from the Gundam Wing series... because it was soooo slow moving, and I never managed to figure out who was who.

I find that I'm getting into the highschool action genre... basically, teenage characters involved in totally unrealistic combat (supernatural, or just crazy martial arts), with a healthy dose of comedy, and a bit of awkward romance.

Gee, I really like Gundam Wing, though I've only gotten around half way through the series. Try Gundam: 8th MS Team instead, its an OVA with only 12 episodes (though Toonami rufused to air the 12th ep), and it focuses more on the people involved and more realistic military tactics than on the Gundams power.

I'll probably give Gundam a shot someday. When I attempted to watch it years ago, it seemed that it was shown out of order (much like Dragonball Z was... and I refuse to watch that one as well!) Even an anime fan like myself can see a show on TV that isn't shown in order, be lost, and get fed up with it just like someone who hates anime!

glad your caught back up on naruto and bleach ... i hate how bleach jumps out of one story and into another without finishing one or even a hint of what the hell just happend lol ... on a plus note ...

the zanpaktou rebellion is pretty cool ... awsome seeing what shinigami's personalities and solid forms they take on lol

and on another note ... death note was converted into a live action movie ... i have 2 of them i found at walmart a couple of weeks ago ... they follow along the main anime story line but they changed a few things and added a few twists to give it some new content but the shinigami special effects they used are cool and the characters look like their anime characters
