...so I haven't watched anime in months...

I've been stuck home sick all weekend, so I finally got back to watching anime. I fell way behind on Naruto and Bleach. I was watching them as they came out, and it got tiresome... the stories were moving so slowly that it was agonizing to watch just a little bit and then have to wait a week again!

So I stopped watching. I've already gone through every series that I could find that interested me, so I just haven't watched anything in a while.

Well, this weekend, I figured out where I left off on both series, and got back to it. Between the two, I've probably watched 60 episodes in the past few days. But now I'm all caught up. It was great to have so many episodes to watch back to back, and now I'm back to waiting a week for one episode again!

I figured I'd give One Piece a shot, since it has a bazillion episodes... but I just can't get into it. It's too damn silly.

So, once again, as I always do when I run out of things that interest me... I'll ask for suggestions. I'm not huge into giant robots or futuristic stuff. I've always liked the storylines that involve a ton of characters with unique abilities (though I could never get into the Dragonball stories...)

I need to make a list of all the ones I've seen already, so I can keep track!

Here's all I can remember... I know I've seen more:

    Bleach
    Naruto/Naruto Shippuuden)
    Monster
    Gantz
    Elfen Lied
    Trigun
    Samurai Champloo
    Full Metal Alchemist
    School Days
    Death Note
    Chrono Crusade
    Initial D

I like serials... long stories that spread over the entire series, rather than single-episode stories. I like stories with well developed characters and storylines. I liked just about everything in that list... so anything similar to those would be really cool. I know there are a few bigger anime-heads on here than me!

my brother has been raving on an on about Darker Than Black, personally i haven't seen it yet.

Black Lagoon is another good one if you like Cowboy Bebop.

That was from a year ago! Where do you think I got the list from?
I've made similar threads a few times now... about once a year.

Leung, I'll have to check those out. I never heard of either one. I never bothered getting into Cowboy Bebop, even though my best friend LOVES it... but I loved Samurai Champloo, which was made by the same people (just a more interesting setting for my tastes)

yeah im more into the high school romantic stuff as of lately... Like "To Love Ru" or "Tora Dora". Then there was this one called "Summer Storm" that's rather comical but works Japanese history into it.

Those are good too... although, after School Days, I don't know if I'll like anything else! Nothing beats a highschool romance story that gets absolutely insane at the end!

Pokemon got way too stupid. I admit, it was interesting early on, but the concept got old. It was a far better video game than a cartoon, I think.

It was more fun when I was playing the Gameboy games... because you get to see the characters you know in the game come to life on tv. It gets old quick, though. "Gotta catch em all" got stupid once they started increasing the number! The finite number is what made it cool, IMO.

Nah, I got like 6 or 8 episodes deep and then there weren't anymore subtitled episodes. I didn't really get into any of the characters anyway. The main character was a loser. The chick with the GTR was the only one I kinda liked. The race animation was amazing, but that was all that show had to offer, I feel. Are there more subtitled episodes around now?

DragonBallZ was the first(and now, last) anime i ever watched. I was getting into it and then i got caught it in the Cell vs Gohan episodes and its like Deev said, it wsas 30 minutes of absolute torture and BS, and i had to wait a week for the next 30minutes of nothingness. After about 3 weeks, i said fuck it and vowed to never watch anime again.

Naruto is just as good. It's weird, when I'm into one, I forget how good the other is... The one I'm watching at the moment is always the better one.

Naruto's fillers are better. They usually give insight into at least one of the other important secondary characters. Bleach's filler episodes SUCK... especially the ones that don't even fit in with the real storyline. I can't stand those. I watch em anyway, but I still hate them.
