It's a Hitler youth knife. it was given to youths as like a boy scout type of item.

unfortunately it isnt worth as much as i thought it would be. the going rate is about 700 bucks and mine is kinda worn but is also the first year they made them which was in '33.

it was given to me by the previous boss so i think im just going to keep it and pass it down. it isnt worth the money and even if i sold it i could pay one bill off and buy a set of koni yellows, whoop-dee-doo.

yea but we need 50 members to sign up which isnt going to happen.

i checked for authenticity and im pretty sure it is real. there's wear marks on the blade and a bit on the handle but the swastikais clean and distinct. I even have the scabbard.

I would keep it. How many people have that in the states =O. Its history in your hand. Someone could have used that knife at least once on a dude comeon you know this lol.

I think it would be an interesting piece. Personally I like collecting stuff like that if I find them. There was a motive behind it but then if he carries on that motive then yea that would be bad...but the motive is part of history we cannot just delete. I would pass it down can't be that bad. I have some swords chillen at home from my grandfather that are god knows how old lol. Blade is perfectly clean but the sheathing has corroded a bit.

It's history. I find history to be interesting, and such a piece isn't glorifying the ideals of those that carried it. Hell, the person that carried it may not necessarily have shared those ideals himself!
