Gimme 80 bucks and noob questions forever.

I've made so many true friends thanks to this site, and I have yet to make so many more... You can't put a price on that. If this site gets sold to a company, it's never going to be the same. I never plan on stepping down as owner of this site, and I never plan on shutting it down. If for any reason I DO choose to relinquish command, it will be to someone that will care for the community as much as I have... just as Steve did when he passed it on to me. And I won't ask that person for a dime.

How long did Steve have the site before he passed it on to you?

'twasn't me. I haven't been in that thread. And there are no deleted posts there, unless a mod did a permanent delete (which I have asked them not to do... as I can see normally deleted posts)

Not very long. 2 years or so. I've owned the site longer than he did. Twice as long now, I think.
I did a lot to build the site into what it is as well, even before I was a mod. It didn't take long for me to grab this site's social structure by the balls...

                  Deev,
you could creat 93accord.com, copy the database over and sell it quick Do the same with 92accord.com, 91accord.com, and 90accord.com then start again with 1993,1992,1991,1990

                  At $80,000 a piece that's $640,000. I'd like 10% as commission

I'm sure we don't have that many Egyptians looking at us... I think I've known of maybe one or two Middle Eastern members total since the site started!

Is there anywhere newer members can get a history on the site ? I don't even know how long the site has been online , past owners original members or any of that . Whoever and where ever , I like it . I'm on this site more than I am my local board where I'm a sponsor/mod . BTW , I hope nothing changes . This site is so well maintained and operated , nothing at all needs to be changed and there aren't many forums of which that can be said .

The site started in August, 2003. accordtunerx was the original owner. I took over in... 2005? Late 2004? I forget.

The best thing to do is look through old posts. See how far back you can go.
