Call it "my dick"... and when someone threatens you, tell them "you don't want me to have to whip out 'my dick' do you?"

"Don't make me whip out 'my dick'!"
"Dude was stressin when he felt 'my dick' pressed to the back of his skull!"

            Held it, LOVED IT.

Might as well come clean though, I sold my accord. My friend Doug needed a car BADLY (Bigbluevan69 on here) SO I sold it to him. Bought the XD, and now I have a month of rent too.

Picked it up for $400. And a box of 50 rounds for $28 or so. Going to shoot it for the first time in an hour or so, but here is the only pic I have of it atm.

Can't decide on a name for it... Man Stopper or Widow Maker?

I've already stripped it a few times and cleaned it real good. Everything inside looks BRAND new. So for $400 I think I got a good deal.

EDIT: I should point out that I'm not new to firearms. I was sponsored by Beretta and Federal Ammunition to shoot shotgun events, such as sporting clays, trap and skeet. With my modified Remington 540 .22 I can shoot quarter sized groups from 25 yards standing, 50 yards kneeling and 75 yards prone.

Good with a Bow, too, but that's irrelevant
Congrats! $400 for that is real good. I would have gotten the XD45SC (sc=sub compact) though. Still, for the price you can't be upset with that Not sure, but I think there are a few members on my forum with xd's. Check it when you get a chance.

            edit: IS that the XD45SC?

LOL +1. I was wondering about that. Also, your sig is huge... you may want to bring it down in size.

Being a Marine just means that you don't look like a total noob when buying a gun of your own for the first time.

I wish I could have found a sub compact for this price. This is standard size.
Mchaley, I shot 50 rounds through it today... OH MY GOD what a machine. No jams. It's hitting a little to the left. I didn't adjust the sights today as I wanted to make sure I wasn't pulling my shots. I'm left eye dominant and have a bad habit of getting nervous and jerking the trigger. But at 20 yards I got into it real good. Started correcting for the sights being off, and shot the center out of the target. It's missing about a 2 inch area from the middle where I was hitting. Not bad for a first time hand gun shooter. Can't wait to get another box of .45 ammo and give some targets hell. Most fun I've had with clothes on hands down. BTW link me to your website, I'll def. check it out.

To buy a gun in Cali is pretty easy I think. For a handgun, you have to be 21. You can buy a rifle at 18. To buy a handgun, you have to pass a test on gun safety. (The test is so easy I scored a 100 without reading the study guide.)
                    You can't have a felony.
I think those are the only restrictions.

Well this one was used. At 20 yards it was DEAD on vertically, just hitting roughly 2.5 inches to the left. It might have been me, I'll know next time I shoot.

I shot my dad's Sig Sauer P229 .40 today as well. Didn't seem too special compared to my Springfield, But I'm sure that's my amateur hands and eyes. It's price tag suggests that it's a VERY nice gun lol

10 round mag limits. There are a lot more restrictions than other states. A lot I'm not sure of, personally. There is a cali member on my forum who seems to know a lot.

My father said if it's still hitting left next time we shoot that he'll shoot it off a rest and adjust it. We do things old school in my family, haha! I'm uploading 2 more pics, check back in a minute.

Hey man, if you end up going for the sub-compact, and you want to part with this one, let me know. I've got a few contacts out here that are dealers so transferring it wouldn't be a problem.

I had an oppurtunity to pick up a brand new SC model but my hands are too big for it to be comfortable. I was initially looking at them for the wife and I to both shoot, but the size was a deal breaker for me.
