OK, why the hell would you ever do a deal like that, especially from Craigslist, WITHOUT SOME FORM OF WRITTEN CONTRACT??? I'm sorry but that is just plain stupid. If you had a written agreement, you could easily take him to court about this and win. As a matter of fact, if you did have a contract from the start, he probably would not even tried to pull some shit like this. Without a contract and just a verbal agreement, all you have is your word against his word. If you do happen to go to court, you will have to prove to the judge your case without any evidence to back you up. And it was really hard to understand your posts but you left $300 worth of tools at someones house that you just met off of Craigslist? What the hell is wrong with you?
