Here's an idea..

For all the vouches and stuff like "people to buy from" and "people not to buy from".. why not make a subforum in the Classifieds section where the only threads that can be started are the user names by the user it self.

Then the members can add posts about the member. So it would look something like this.

Classifieds: rebels: good/bad transactions with the member.

It would save some time from going through 10 pages of members.. and ultimately the complaining about which section the post should go under, whether it be not receiving an item or what not.

that's actually a pretty good idea. it's sorta like the negative and positive feedback on ebay. everyone gets their own vouch thread that they can put in their sigs or member profile or something.

Thats a GREAT idea. I like it! I'd like to do some possible trading but with all the negativity I've seen I'm pretty leery. A sort of ranking system or feedback system would help allay my fears of being burned by a trade. After all, money doesn't grow on trees in this area.

With one of the newest versions of VBulletin, there's a trader rating system built in it.

But it wouldn't be too hard to make a new subforum in the Classifieds, and then the people that buy ans sell a lot can make a thread with their own name.

I think it sounds like a pretty good idea, but it's up to the other members too.

or it could be made into a poll, so it would be more of a ranking like on ebay... you could vote whether or not you had a good experience with the person, and then comment if you wanted to.

Thats also a good idea, but you can only vote 1 time.. so if you did more than 1 transaction with the person.. that would have to be changed, but a very good thought!

I've always said this was a much better idea...I've even PM'd different classified mods about it, but none have done it or brought it up...cpmike...

Rather than just sellers though, we should have general ratings... for buying or selling. I know there are people on here who have had troubles with getting money, and it is bound to happen again in the future... and on the good side, there are people who are prompt payers that could use the recognition!

It IS possible to make a poll where you could vote more than once, but the anonymity (did I spell that right? ) would create an issue. People who never dealt with a person could rate them poorly if they didn't like them.

On DSMHP.com, we have something called a REPUTATION system. I think its in VBulletin 3 or something, but basically you give points to a certain person out of 10. Like if someone told you they would send something the next day and it had no tracking number, and it arrived 2 weeks later, that person would get 5/10 points.. then after so many trades/sales/buys, you tally up the 10's, then add up the rankings and divide to get a percentage.. Kind of like how a lot of college teachers grade their classes.

It can also be used for sales/ trades/ timely manner of whatever.

Yeah, the version 3 of VBulletin has the trader rating system which could be used good. It's just like the ebay where you do a +1, 0, or -1.. thats all you really need.

I think it'd be a good idea.
