How To Become A Parts Dealer

Thats corrrect. I have been putting alot of thought into this, and I would
like to become a dealer. I sent out to recieve a tax ID number, and paid 70+ dollars for my business name.

My question is, all those people that sell knockoff civic type-r headlights, and grills, bumper lips, etc... How do they do it ? Should I call these places and ask to become a dealer for them? I mostly looking for accord, civic, and v-dub parts. Since that is what most people that "tune" their cars have...

Any helpful information or suggestions welcomed.
    Thanks.

Good Luck with this...but i disagree with this statement.

"I mostly looking for accord, civic, and v-dub parts. Since that is what most people that "tune" their cars have..."

take another look around the tuner world bro.

alot more then just Accord's, civic's, and VW's.

You can contact manufactures and inquire about being a vendor, but that usually requires buying large quanitites. What you can do is contact the manufactures and ask for a list of their distributors and go from there. Most distributors sell a wide variety of products at wholesale cost to other shops, but the thing to remember is that most of them also do retail, so you'll be directly competing with them.

Call the companys whose products you'd like to sell, and ask about becoming a distributor for them. Then you'll need space to store all the stuff, and venues to sell it at. Booths at car shows, craigslist, ebay motors, perhaps even a storefront if you got enough capital.

I have a place to store all the stuff, and most likely I would do craigslist, and word of mouth. I would also make a website to buy parts from. Any good companies I should try first?

            Thanks.

I know you wanna become a parts dealer but here is a good money making business

              www.roketa.com

I buy mopeds for $550 a peice and sell them for $800. I make good money doing it. Just about $350-$1000 a week. And I do this on the side. You can also get ATVs and dirt bikes. Pocket rockets seem to be a great seller too.
