    Truck guys, check in.

Thinking about picking up a 95' 1500 Silverado with 77K on it.

    http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...y/IMG_0142.jpg

Don't know much about it. It belongs to a business partner. He only want 2000 for it.

any one have experience with these things? Good? Bad? I wanna hear! It's a government seizure. So.. It's supposed to be a deal. I've never owned a truck.. but this is pretty tempting.

Also, any one know of any nice looking low profile wheels for trucks?

    Thanks!

Felicia - '11 Ford Fusion - Luxury Package - Daily.. daily.. ugh.

One of my really good friends had a 96 1500 for about 4 years. It was a great truck with no problems what so ever.

My dad has owned his 97 1500 since new. It now has right under 200k miles, and the only "major" issue was he had to have the tranny rebuilt.

Close to $2000. But, it has a 50K mile warranty.

lol! I think it makes the truck a little less boring to look at!

I was actually thinking about Enkei RT6's. They would looks great in 18's with a mild 2" drop.

Those are great looking wheels, but trust me man, on a truck that big, you will want at least a 20 inch wheel. I regret not getting 22's, my dubs look like 16's on my big ass truck, and my big ass truck is smaller than your soon-to-be big ass truck,

Plus, you know what people will say when you pull up in a big truck with little wheels... (people can be so stupid sometimes)

Either way, I can DEFINITELY see that truck going somewhere in your hands haha.

EDIT: OH, and MAKE SURE you get something with a nice lip... mmm... trucks with rims... with lips... mmmmm hahaha

Is it a 2wd or a 4wd? I would say that if your intentions are to use it as a truck than dont even drop it, especially if its a 4wd. Putting rims on isnt going to hurt a thing but like I said if you want to actually use your truck as intended than low profiles are not going to help you out at all, but if your just going to use it as a street truck than by all means drop it and throw some nice rims and low profile tires on.

                            IIRC:
                            5-lug = 2wd
                            6-lug= 4wd
