Jailbroken and unlocked are different. Being jailbroken lets you put software thats not approved by Apple on it (ie, your nintendo games). Being unlocked lets it be on a different wireless provider (in the US, it will only work on T-Mobile, I believe). It has to be jailbroken to be unlocked, as it is unlocked through software (unless you buy a turbo sim, I think, but I really don't know that much about those) that obviously isn't approved by Apple. Once I get around to seeing about upgrading mine to 3.0, I could re-istall the firmware for you and re-jailbreak it. -
