will the falcons/vick get any respect?

the falcons need to be a little more consistent on offense as a unit. the offense is vick, crumpler, and occassionally one or both of the running backs. price and white sometimes show up, and they seem to be an afterthought of the offensive coordiantor.

the defense is pretty good, though they got absolutely steamrolled by the chiefs (who probably have one of the best o-lines in the nfl).

the falcons are a good team, but the lack of offensive consistency is an area they need to work on. 14 points may beat the giants, 6 points may beat the cardinals... but that won't beat the eagles, packers, or vikings. and if somehow it worked out, it for damn sure won't beat the colts!

but what do i know, i'm just a displaced raiders fan! lol.

atlanta also killed themselves by not generating a lot of offense, stalling on drives, poor clock management (the final 2 minutes of the 1st half was an exercise in futility)... they're just not clicking on all cylinders consistently on offense.

when i went to the preseason game vs. the vikings, the offensive inconsistency was apparent... but it still is. while their record is good, and the defense is playing pretty well, they've got to get it together on offense. any of the likely opponents they'll play in the post-season can seemingly score at will. they need to start getting 3 and 4 touchdowns a game during the regular season.

if they can get into a rhythm offensively, they'll not only be exciting to watch (which they already are), they'll be deadly.
