"Fix My Car BBQ" #1 was a success! (NEW AND IMPROVED! NOW WITH PIKTARZ!!! LOLZ)

Sort of... People came, people got dirty, things got taken apart.

This week will be spent trying to put things back together... and "Fix My Car BBQ #2" will happen next Sunday at 10am.

The CB7 was the focus of today's energy. The hatchback wasn't used for anything but storage.

The CB7 had a fried throwout bearing, scored pressure plate fingers, a shredded flywheel, and the flywheel center bearing exploded. XTD is AWESOME!!!

So, everything came out. A new Honda throwout bearing is going in. And what am I replacing my XTD Stage 3 clutch and 11.5lb flywheel with? An XTD Stage 1 clutch and 11.5lb flywheel! Only because my friend across the street had it on hand, and I really don't want to wait. I'll get good stuff after I superch... I mean... after I do some other nifty stuff to my car...

BIG BIG BIG thanks to 93twodoorLX, uslspct, alb_accord, bcozzi71, Ralphie, icedplaya123, and Jak Frostwhite for coming out, lending a hand, and making it an all around fun day! I'm tired, sore, dirty... and all I did was watch!

Pictures were taken... I'll get them up soon.

Me too! My organizational skills are garbage... but I have good friends that show up when I need help! I probably would have had 20 people here today if I could plan better! Not that more than 2 people could really do anything anyway...

Next week, while people are finishing up the CB7, I'm going to need guys to help swap out the dashboard in the hatchback, and finish assembling the A20A on my front porch. Organization will be better next week! I'll also get around to cooking more.

Sounds like a bit of a "Who's Who of CB7Tuner" party.

That sentence explains XTD so well.

Haha, sounds like our parties were similar...except mine was just myself and Avendi, haha.

We managed to get my trans off and find a fried throwout bearing, a trashed flywheel, and a clutch with polished rivets!

Sounds like we are in a similar boat, my friend. Except I'm replacing my clutch with an Exedy and a new flywheel, haha.

The Underground society did the same thing this weekend, minus the BBQ. We had me, Shadow1, Sideswipe, 1990ex, and then two other people showed up. This weekend must have been work on CB's this weekend. Thats all me and Kris(Sidewipe) did this week.

I wish I could've made it out there mike. I had to work a bit on my own cb which is looking pretty sad right now.

I'll see if I can make it next time but with this new job I haven't had much time since I've been getting home around 12am everyday when I start at 7am.

Man, sounds like you have a schedule like mine! It's cool. I'm sure we'll have plenty more like this! Maybe sometime we'll actually work on other people's cars too!

Certainly! I bought some Coors Light...
Things will be more organized next time... including the consumption of beer and burgers. Half of the people that came showed up after we grilled, and we only fired up the grill once!
