    boost mobile

i been trying to find a decent phone for the last couple of months because my at&t contract ended since i was on a family plan with my family. but they didn't wanna renew so i had to find my own plan. after talking to at&t and them wanting $500 deposit from me i'm like fawk that . so i check out ntelos pay in advance and it's like $58.90 some a month after taxes, but that doesn't include picture text messasing, roaming and only is regional (not long distance) so i'm like ehh... so my friend told me to check out boost. and i got a cheap phone and the $50 bucks a month unlimited everything and i seem to be liking it okay gets reception where i want it. i can check my email/myspace on it whenever i want. talk long distance anything. people say there service sucks and crap but i guess you gotta live in the right area.

anyone on here have boost mobile or nextel? and do ya use the walkie talkie feature on it. i have no friends that have either yet. and i just wonder how effective it is.

    btw:
i wanna upgrade to a motorola i776 probably i found one on craigs for cheap , but my question is, can i use any Nextel phone with boost. i heard i can as long as it's iDEN.

i see. i did my research and it should be okay. and i looked it up on ebay and all the phones say nextel/boost mobile. now just gotta find one i like.

      my phones wack as hell

at least i can talk to my gf all i want and get online on it.

i wish i could use my LG vu on it but that's for at&t and it's GSM, and i don't think it could work since i believe nextel/boost are iDEN

i can't get metro here va sucks =\ i can't get cricket/metro and alot of the other popular ones like altell.

what phone do you have btw? and hell yeah $50 no tax that's what i like. ntelos pay in advanced wanted like $35 for activation, then like $10 for tax a month + .15 cent each picture text i'm like fuck that. you didn't even get data unless u got there $69.99 plan then with tax it would of been like $78-$79

that phone looks similar to my friends. the service is nice but boost mobile phones aren't all that.

nextel is a little more upgrade though.

the motorola i335 i posted a pic ^^^^ it has
-blutooth -web -no camera -gps enabled (but u have to pay for it) and -java overall an okay temporary phone.

i got a question. when you transfer sim cards do the contacts stay on the sim card just like on at&t?

I have it...I got it for work cause I do construction and everyone I know has walkie talkie. It's been pretty good...texting sucks dick sometimes you won't get texts til hours later. can't beat the $50 a month though, way better than cricket. They have limited options for phones though I'm pretty sure you can't just use any nextel phone you have to buy a boost phone.
