Forum attitude changing...

This is a quote from a statement I made on a different thread tonight:

"I think in general the attitude on this forum is starting to change or has changed. What attracted me about this forum was the friendly atmosphere and knowledgeable people and interesting topics always happening. In browsing this forum tonight, this is the 2nd thread already that rips on someone new because people are looking for fights and anything they can use against them. It's like it's the sole purpose of the response, not to help but to criticize. Come on people, let's keep it a friendly atmosphere so that we don't lose some potential knowledgeable people to keep this forum thriving."


I am just asking all people on this forum to keep an open-mind and give the person the benefit of the doubt, and if they are wrong, prove that you are right with facts/photos, etc so they are not any questions and in a professional, nice manner. And don't be so quick to throw out the swear words, etc and tell them off. I have personally witnessed in some of my threads, people trying to attack me because they misread my statements and/or questions and I had to clarify to them, that I already made that point clear...they just overlooked it.

I am not playing Mother Teresa here, just trying to keep it real here at CB7tuner. IMO the main difference between this forum and others is the original friendly atmosphere and if that changes...what else differs us? I know we are one of the few, if not the only CB7 dedicated forum...but this info can still be obtained in general Accord forums too.

I also wonder what is Steve - Accordtunerx's opinion on this? You are the administrator, what have you noticed? Am I the only one that feels this way?

hey, its way fukin better than HAN. The "OG's" have been harassing me since day one (and day one was oct '03).

Easy there...not attacking you, no need to swear man. I know about other forums, I been to many and that is why I made the comparison in what I posted originally on this thread. I'm not complaining that this forum "sucks", it does not. I am just making it apparent that things could get worse if we all don't chill. Again, this is not a complaint thread, I just want to make it aware to people so it don't get any worse. Them "other" forums started somewhere and progressively got worse...do you think CB7tuner is immune to this? Time will only tell...

and the one thread with the guy getting the meticulous accord and calling it a downgrade is kind of a slap in the face of cb7 enthusiasts.......true or not, people don't like hearing it.....and it's a smug post for a first one IMO.......don't see the point of jumping on the guy but i do understand why it happened......he just came across wrong......if someone called my car a downgrade and i really liked that car, i'd get pissed though......but i stayed out of that one because tis better to not speaketh

I'm just saying, I've been personally running into more and more of these threads. I'm not saying it's a huge number just yet, but I'm also trying to make this matter apparent before if gets out of control. What good would it do when it's too late...

I've been on this thread for a while and browse it daily, so it wouldn't take much to notice and this forum wasn't like this before, that is just black and white to me.

I do not want to narrow down posts, so that suddenly you have many many specific debates, but rather focus on the main one at hand...that being the changing attitude. But things could have been handled better and stated..."Please don't refer to Accords/CB7s as a downgrade, since this is a CB7 specific forum and some people make take offense." And the other person could have reworded it to state, that the "Accord/CB7 does not have as many of the luxury features as his Acuras had." Something along this sort.

I'm proud to be a part of this forum, and am trying to look out for what could get worse is all. If this thread is worthless and not an issue, then ignore it or delete it. Just stating my observations.

I agree with you 100% HondaFan81..........Its no need for anyone to be disrepectful to anyone else who is just simply asking a question. Seem to me that everyone in the world wants to seem like they HARD and can talk all this garbage, no one has any respect anymore. Yeah man just keep it clean !! The world is already bad enough.

I feel ya Fizz on more people asking the same old questions, I haven't been here from day one, but close. Yea, I get bored at times with these questions popping up time and time again, but I try to remember that everyone started somewhere. Some people should read more, before posting so they learn by research first & gain background knowledge so a reply is of more benefit to them. However, some take the easy way and just post...whether it's for time reasons/laziness, etc. So I keep this in mind and try to help out in a positive manner, link another post with the answer or just not answer at all and figure someone else will answer (but it seems like you're most likely to find a "f**k off & search" reply more than likely).
