let me know how that works out for ya.... and then from then forward lets take a look at the ls1......

and if its the late 80's early 90's were talking about all we gotta do is take a look at buick. again GM.

my point still stands that the mustang does not and never did "run shit"
    LOL The LS1 Camaro was 38,000 dollars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!shift111

Check wikipedia if you don't believe that. The mustang was how much for a gt? 20-25k? Wow. You coulda had a 1997 Roush Mustang for that kinda price tag when the LS1 came out.

EDIT: This thread shouldn't get closed, its nothing but a totally clean car discussion. We can agree to disagree, no one is flaming no one. No verbal abuse or nothing. A civil disagreement and nothing more.

LOL You are right that the camaro is faster then the mustang at almost generation. For 10-15k more. But the 5.0's ripped up the 5.7 irocs and the 305's. The 4.6 is a dog, compared to the ls1, and the ls3 thats coming in the new camaros, but the car costs 10-15k more. That isn't a comparison at all.

I don't hear anyone comparing the challenger to the camaro? Why? Maybe cause the 6.1 hemi makes 425 horse compared to the beloved 6.2 that puts out 415 in the camaro.

still the same class, i wasnt the one who made the comparison. i was speaking of which car i thought was a better platform, thats all.

and speaking of the 6.1 compared to the 6.2, i have a hunch that 6.2 in the camaro will be just a tad more responsive to mods than the 6.1 in the dodge, just a hunch... lol

Either way. I look forward to seeing some of these on the road. And some of the mods people will do to them.

I think we are toward the start of a new muscle car era. But obama's taking care of that for us.

all i know is all three of the aforementioned platforms better get to work to keep up with the cars that are already on the road. it sure would be a shame to buy a brand new camaro SS and get ur ass handed to u by a civic, or an evo or something like that. this muscle car era sure would be a lot more interesting than the last one.

I know thats why it'd be so awesome. Civics Audi's Chevy Ford Dodge Toyota Acura. Thats a hell of a combo if you have these guys going back and forth on displacement, and muscle, and new technology.

BUTTTTTT -I dunno if you guys heard but obama's pushing for 36 mpg by 2016.

So much for a muscle car era.

i think that will only make things more interesting in the future... not every fucktard on the street will have a real musclecar because they wont have made all that many by then, which in my opinion is a good thing.

Chevy could have done better with the Camaro, but they were going for fuel economy too.

I think they did a good job with it overall. I like it. I just cant handle the gauges. The setup of the radio and stuff looks like a new Civic. Absolutely hideous in my eyes.

Enough to make me not want one. A camaro that is.

The Challenger brings it home for this generation, imo.
I'd prefer a 300C or Magnum over the current gen Camaro too.

But no matter what, Camaro >> Mustang.
