                        Chevy's best Impala EVAR!

Not a fan of that deep purple, but at the same time, its kind of an iconic color for that car.

More pics and a dyno sheet would be nice.

nice car, but weren't they weak for a stock car?
ive always thought of them being overweight for the hp rating of the car

, You should see the balance that I owe on it now. Damn, it's only only a matter of pocket change. Pocket change that I will accumulate while doing my internship this summer @ Brookhaven National Lab up in New York (mainly for networking to go to Cornell or M.I.T. and try to rack up some scholarship dollars).

Trying to hammer out a few classes in school. I had a busy term this term, and with no car it was brutal.

Sold it to pay for school in the fall term. I took that money and used it to pay down the balance.

Absolutely not. They were acutally really fast for a 4000lb car. 260 H.P.'s w/ 330 ft./lbs., made this thing go when it needed to. With the plans that I have (in the future, 'cause right now I'm kinda low on funds), my baby will still roll as a D.D. and be strip ready to run either low 12's or down in the 11's. All in due time.

They were fast for their time. By today's standards, the output is modest... respectable, but nothing spectacular for a V8. All you have to do is sneeze on it to make more power, though.

It's a variant of the Corvette engine, in a nice, heavy, fairly luxurious car.

They're also quite reliable, and they hold their value. A 1996 model, the last year they made them, will still go for $10,000 on average. In fantastic condition, they can get considerably more. A 96 that has been meticulously maintained and has low miles can go for high teens, approaching 20k. You can get a mid-90s NSX for that kinda dough!

If there was ever a modern GM vehicle that I'd want, this would be it.
