Need recommendation on impact wrench

What is everyone using? I'm in the market for one, just to use in my garage, on my own car. Nothing fancy.

i'm not sure what it's rated but whatever came free with my air compressor from Sears just zips off those axle nuts with no effort compared to me and a buddy breaking a couple of wrenches and a breaker bar, standing on them.

I have the Ingersoll Rand 2131QT for air use at home and the Ingersoll Rand 2530 cordless impact for track use. Both are great.

If you got $600 to blow get the snap on cordless impact. I'll be adding one to my tool collection in the future.

The ingersoll works fine for lug nuts and suspension work, but the axles can be a bitch at times. The snap on can take axle nuts off with ease, and I've even managed to get a crank pulley bolt off with it the one time I tried.

the ingersoll i'm looking at is the 600lb rating one. I think that should be fine

My air gun does 600 ft lbs and its perfect for most jobs. I'd highly recommend it for home use since it is a lot quieter then other impact wrenches.

The cordless does 350 ft lbs in reverse.

I like my Blue Point pair of 3/8 and 1/2. i believe the 1/2 is 625ft lb

I have a breaker bar for the super tough stuff, so maybe a 300lb cordless one might be all i need.

The ingersoll 2132G is the quite one, get that one if you dont like to disturb the neighbors but for more power get the 2135Ti Max, Thats one of the best guns out there. Its louder than the 2132 but has enough power for most things.

I have both and never had any problems with either. Takes off axle nuts easy, even when staked still.
