Arg...I get those emails from Tiger Direct about their deals. They send them out just about every 30 seconds it seems, so often I overlook them. I recently decided that I need to look into getting a laptop..I just so happened to actually check out one on Monday, and there was a helluva deal.

They had a recert (yeh, I know) HP laptop..HP Pavilion dv7-1245dx...

Here's a quick spec "AMD Turion X2 RM-72 2.1GHz, 4GB, 320GB, DVDRW, 17” WXGA+, Vista Home Premium 64-bit, Bronze"

Normally $1,150...they were selling it for $575...with $1.99 shipping.

Yeah, I learned that from Tigerdirect... they have amazing deals ALL THE TIME.

Been ordering from them forever. I stayed away from them for a while... I ordered a Compaq Ipaq YEARS ago, and when it came, the catalog included in the box had the same thing for $100 less than I just paid for it! They said it was a typo... I was seriously pissed.

Yeah..that's why I won't buy anything from them unless it's in one of their deal emails...

Yeah..I used to shop newegg a lot..but then I found a lot of their prices higher than tigers, so I stayed away.

Never bought from them but the stories are everywhere; bad customer service, rebates that never come, etc.

I got hired for their cust svc/tech help department about 5-6 years ago but quit the same day because I had to drive 1.5 hours home from Miami in thick traffic and I refused to do that everyday.
