GT5 - Take pics of your car and add it to the game

Polyphony Digital also announced the development of Gran Turismo 5 for PlayStation 3, the game will have damage model for the first time, to make the game more realistic. GT5 will support the EyeToy camera, you can take pictures of a car and the game can use it to build a custom car.

aka you can take a pic of your cb7 and race it in the videogame

that would be the coolest thing ever. i wonder how it would work. like, what kind of angles you'd need to have pictures of your car from. it seems like that's nearly impossible for polyphony to make happen.

go to the junk yard and take pics of a old hoopty, then upload it to the game and make it 500-600hp and race it...lol.

but yeah, that would be nice to be able to take pics of the cb7

plus the eyetoy, is connected to the ps2. how will you be able to take it outside to snap a pic? construction extension cords?

me either, can you imagine how many angles you would need to take pictures of your car from in order to make that work? this must be something where you "race" your car... but not actually race it. i think it could just be something where it shows a picture of your car and simulates races with it - just to tell you how it faired up if it were really a part of the competition with a certain set of cars.

Yea, I think your right. It would take too many angles of the car undertake something like that. We can all wish for something like that one day

how could this game be for ps3, if they have the reserve now tickets at gamestop, toys 'r us, software etc., that say ps2.
