    Mustang Eater

some dude with a whole lot of money came in the other day looking for some parts for his supposedly 700+hp corvette, he told us a few stories but in reality i thought he was just making it all up, we told him to bring it by someday, but we never saw him again

yeasterday night i saw him in the store and immidiately when to the parking lot looking for the car and there it was, sitting nicely

he has a wide body kit on it and that kit makes the actual car look small, he says his goal right now is to beat some guy in south carolina that has a supra they call the v8 killer, he said he ran against him once and he got smoked, since that he says he got a better boost controller and added some nos

he has that sts turbo kit that goes on the back of the car, the ones that run off the exhaust, you look under his rear bumper and you will see both of them sitting there nicely

and the car at idle sounds awesome, you could not even tell the car was boosted, but as soon as he moves at like 5mph thats when you begin to hear that whistle, like a freakin airplane, he got on it when he pulled out the lot and to this date its one of the most beutiful sounds i have ever heard, it was unlike enything else, twin turbo is nice

I might know them boys with that Supra. Lemme look it up and find out.

You would think that any hopped up Supra would kill a v8 without a problem right?

That car was at the "BP Meet" in Atlanta last month. Sounded bad ass.

Same as any other turbo... all turbos run off of the exhaust gasses. These are just further down the line.

These kits work really well, lag is minimal. But as with anything 'vette - better have deep $ pockets.

That supra mentioned is one nasty mother.....if its the one I'm thinkin about.

i even got in trouble for imitating the vtec.

I can imagine that the lag would be a bit of an issue... but the way to compensate for it would be to use some fast spooling turbos (ceramic ball bearing turbos... pricey) and put some considerable engineering into the exhaust setup (I guess you'd still technically have headers on that? ) If the flow is right to spool the snails without any significant turbulence, then it'd minimize lag.

Those things increase cost, though. You don't put that sort of work and goods into a cheap system! Then again, if you're going to twin-turbocharge your $50,000 toy... you can afford it.
