anytime, all that info came off the head, because i've been deep in nextel tech for a while.

software upgrades won't bring you to the new r2 software, because there is some hardware differences. just take it to a nextel service center, that's your best bet.

I can't do nextel i loathe that walkie-talkie shit lol. I decided to go with AT&T. Me and my impulse buying finalized the purchase of the SGH-X426 Samsung Flip Phone. Free charger, headset, I pay nothing right now because of the rebates and theres even a $100 mail-in rebate...i'm such a sap lol! My plan is $39.99 a month and it should come out to $50 after the various taxes and "thank you for bending over willingly" charges

to me, nextel's the best company out there with tons of plans. they started out aimed at businesses, and as such their customer service is top notch.
in my experience with them, the customer service reps are always courteous, and always seem to know how to resolve problems... i can't say the same for my experience with sprint.

i also like the fact that any plan over $49 has all incoming calls free, regardless of who's calling you.

couldn't have said it better myself. they started by catering for businesses, if you have a product that satisfies companies with 20+ lines, imagine what it could do for us personal customers.

any time i have a problem, they resolve it, and if you request to be compensated you usually get some nice bonus minutes. you can have free aol instant messenger, (i can tell you how), i860 sends and receives pictures, and .wav ringtones that are the loudest evAr.

for 52.00 before tax, i'm getting 1050 anytime, free n&w, free natwide LD, unlimited natwide direct connect, & unlimited text messaging. call that the government special. and if you're an employee of a big company, most of the time you're eligible for a discount on plans/equipment, check up on that.

by the way, jdmcb7, if you plan on taking to a nsc, make sure you have the nextel service plan ($3.00 a/mo.) on it before you walk through the door, if not they'll charge you $35 or something to that tune. you can put the nsp on right before you walk in, its not something that has to be on for a certain amount of time before its active.
