And this swine flu thing is such a bunch of crap. Your odds of even getting it is in like the hundred thousandths to millionths of 1%, and of those, the number of deaths is no different than any other flu. Thanks to the dumbass propagandists in the media, we now have a worldwide outcry about nothing.
yupp the media ALWAYS make it a bigger problem then what it really is.

How else are they supposed to keep their viewers?

I, for one, hate the main media outlets. They give journalists a horrible name, and I'm a public relations major. Give me straight news or no news at all (so far, it's the latter).

Exactly. It's nonsense. Mexico City is (I think) the most populated city in the world. For only, what, 200-300 people to have it, well, the odds are better of winning the lottery.

yeah...h1n1 is actually less potent...latest news...lack the genetic fortitude and staying power *inside chuckle* of influenza.

and it's called swine flu cause it originated in pigs, but it is NOT pig flu as it is a mix of swine and bird and human...maybe not human...that's why they are urging folks to call it h1n1...or n1h1...I don't recall...oh hell swine flu IT IS!!!!

yeah mexico city is one of the most populated cities in the world.

but with some of them dying it's mostly because they don't have a good and immediate care and attention like we do in the US.

Flu's are viral, so it probably has more to do with nourishment. Those most likely to be killed by influenza are those who have compromised or weak immune systems. That is USUALLY very small childred as their hasn't developed fully, and elderly people as theirs is on its way out. But, in countries like Mexico, it would also include starving kids and adults who don't get enough nourishment to support a healthy immune system. Unfortunately, in places like Mexico City, that is all too common.

Much of it can have to do with liquid too, as two of the most common side effects of flu are diarrhea and vomiting which can both quickly lead to dehydration. That is why it is essential that you drink tons of fluids with the flu.

Living on the border, next to one of the poorest populations in Mexico; Juarez.

I first hand see why people die, you can see from the border, they population directly living next to the border across the Rio Grande live in shacks. Acctualy they shouldnt even be called shacks. The living conditions of the population is terrible. The drinking water isn't even safe to drink, unless you want to have constant diarrhea.

And these make shift shacks of tin and wood, no heating or cooling or insulation doesnt protect the people from elements. And as poor as most people are in thi area, they can bearly make by with food, let alone and type of medicine.

Even as you get a little deeper in, were there are houses, the people there still cant even pay for medicine. Its really bad over there right now, along with the war thats going on. The other day, you could see all the weed the military was burning that they have captured from the cartell.

I think just the poor living condition is the cause for the many deaths there, than anywere else.
