    Need pc help

I turned my computer off last night to run updates. When I turned it on this morning nothing would load, and the screen goes blank and comes back. Im not able to click on anything unless I open the task manager (which is how I able to get to the internet).

I've tried restarting a bunch of times. I've turned it off and left it alone for a few hours thinking maybe it just needed a break (its on all the damn time), but it's still doing the same thing.

If anyone has any advice, im pretty computer savy, but I've never seen this before.

It almost seems like its trying to load everything at once and failing hard lol

anyone know what might be the problem? Thanks in advance

What O.S. do you have? I would try to do a restore with a system restore point.

We'll need to know more about what happened. First the basics, What operating system are you using, what updates were installing, and what anti virus program are you running?

You said you shut down to install updates, does this mean you did the windows "Install updates before shutting down" command or just some other program that requires you to restart your machine after updating?

I would try booting into safe mode: In the loading screens right after the the bios posts and before windows loads, hit F8 and you'll see a selection list (this is if your using XP / 2000. I'm not sure about vista) select "Safe Mode" You can go in and see if anything is running that's not suppost to.

That's probably all I can suggest as I'm no technician. Hope you get things straightened out
