Tax Day Tea Parties

I was just wondering who else will be attending one of these events later today? I for one will be attending the Tea Party in downtown Gainesville from 3-6pm to protest the governments apparent lack of regard for the Constitution our nation was founded upon as well as excessive government spending. If anyone else wants to know more, please visit www.taxdayteaparty.com to find a tea party near you. At last count there are more than 2,000 planned nationwide.

I went to my tea party and it was awesome. I was talking w/ the coordinator and was able to get up and speak to the people of the event about the polorization of both parties and so on. I'm hoping I can find a clip of that on youtube since I didn't have anyone to take a pic of me when I was up speaking. That was pretty cool though being able to address over a thousand people and share my views.

After that the head of the Republican party in our county introduced me to some members of the Young Republicans and we all ended up going out and drinking to discuss ideas and such. I've got to meet w/ them again today for an organizational meeting plus it appears that after last nights partying I will now be the social coordinator aka party thrower for the group.

Personally I think the tea parties were stupid and didnt help anything...

It didnt even make sense...

Maybe if people flipped cigerette trucks and smashed all the packs, that would get all these cigerette taxes taken away...

personally i think women who self-thinking, rather than party specific are a better choice.

But the crap that went on here was retarded. People hanging out with signs in a mall parking lot 5 miles from any real government facility, and crowding the biggest road that goes through my town.

Protesting is freedom of speech, but making a hazardous road more hazardous is just stupid.
