2 tickets in 1 month...

I got pulled over for going 82 in a 70 in March sometime.
THEN I got pulled over today for going 91 in a 55
Both times the cop was sitting at a bottom of a hill hiding behind the guard rails.
It makes me so mad! I'm not speeding anymore on the interstate.. but it still makes me mad that cops can just sit around and pull people over for going down a hill to fast. If they are going to sit somewhere they need to sit somewhere that people actually do stuff that is worth getting pulled over for.

The first ticket got dismissed in court.. no points on my insurance or anything
But this time I have to go to juv. court
He said I might just get a probation on my license.

It just makes me mad that cops just sit in little hiding places at bottom of hills or on straight aways where people speed harmlessly.

the point your missing is that most speeding isn't harmless. i speed. not 91 in a 55. on an empty road ill hit 80 in what is usually a 55 or 60. but that road has nothing but cows and semi trucks.

if you speed, don't complain when you get caught.

do the crime do the time right.

The way I see it, although a bit harsh is that you were caught breaking the speed limit, no matter where it may be the fact is you were still speeding.

lol well you were going 91 in a 55 its 100% your fault, cop just doing his job, to stop unsafe drivers going to fast. i would get a radar detector saves my ass every time.

I am def not speeding anymore on the interstate. Hardly anywhere. Cause it isn't worth it. lol Especially if you aren't racing or anything. Just not paying attention. Dumbness.

I got a speeding ticket in October, and a Racing on the Highway ticket in November. $123 for the speeding ticket, and it went on my record. $245 and some begging got me a youthful offender plea in court for the racing ticket, so it didn't go on my record!

Needless to say, $368 for tickets when you go to college full time and work part time isn't fun. My ass got saved with youthful offender though so I can't complain, could've gotten a suspended license.

If you're going to speed, either do it where you wont get caught, or go fast enough to make the fine worthwhile.

no reason to speed your going to get there anyways. regardless of where a cop sits or "hides" your still breaking the law when you speed. ive never gotten a speeding ticket and probably wont. speed limit +3-4mph is about my limit. id rather stay under the radar that in a cops radar.

There really isn't a point for speeding. I have found that out. Even if you do speed you are only going to get somewhere like %5 faster. If that.. cause of traffic and red lights.
It's still silly for cops to sit on the side of the road waiting for people to go a little too fast.
