Thinking of going the vegetable oil diesel way..

I started to look into some domestic 4 door full sized turbo/na diesel trucks. 2004+ Loaded Dodge Ram 1500's are under 10K, as well as the f250's. I figured, the bed is big enough to house the filtration system, and I could get vegeoil for free, as many of my neighbors own multiple restaurants in Savannah. That, and they're a bunch of huge truck lovin' southerners

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/cto/1094215959.html <- Example of exactly what I'm looking for in a truck.

The powerstroke (that's if I get a 2002 4door f250) vegeoil kits that I'm looking at from plantdrive.com are all under $1100. Getting the cooking oil to fuel form is just a matter of letting it sit for 2 weeks so it can all settle, then doing a little filtering. Which isn't hard either.

Opinions/thoughts? If anyone knows anything about using used veggie oil as an alternative to diesel fuel, please post up.

I want this thread to be as educational as possible. I really don't want this turning into a cummings > powerstroke, stupid this motor is better than this motor thread. So if you've got anything to say other than knowledge about the process, please keep it to yourself.
