Why should I hit the back button?

You told me you don't care if I don't like your kit. I don't, I don't like your car.

Normally I wouldn't respond on it, but I don't see any reason I shouldn't be allowed to.

I realize this isn't the best thread to do this in. But it's an example as to what I think should be allowed, or "accepted."

I agree with you, but to a point. You should be able to say what you want, when you want to. That is your right. But to bash someone just because their car does not have a lip, one-piece JDM headlights, or Volk wheels is wack. Everyone has their own style, so be it.

In my opinion, I think it's wack to do something that everyone else is doing, just to fit in or conform to the staus quo. Let's face it, dam near EVERYONE on this site has a front lip and one piece headlights. Conformity at it's finest.

The one thing that surprised me recently was when I went to the CB7 SOCAL Malibu Cruise, and I saw someone that had done a Prelude JDM cluster, and then ripped it out. When I asked him why he took it out, he responded........

"EVERYONE IS DOING IT NOW, IT'S NO LONGER UNIQUE"

-Now that's "individuality." That's what I strive for. So should you.

If imitation is the best form of flattery............thanks for kissing my ass.

It's about respect. Your opinion is valid. It is YOUR opinion... but show respect when voicing it, or respectfully keep it to yourself.

I think thats all crap. I don't care if everybody is doing it or no one is doing it. You should do it if you like it.

your car doesnt have to be all jdm to be cool
i think people are just tired of all the shitty body kits, lip kits look great
i am one of them, everywhere i go i see a kit and there it is fucking it up for the rest of us. kit+fart cans=ricer and thats what we get branded with. i am afraid to put any sort of exhaust on my car, because i dont want some one calling me a ricer. sure its my style but i dont want to hear about it everywhere i go. also that flags theifs for hey steel my car. i am trying to stay as oem as possible so i dont get hunted down by police, theifs, and fucking idiots.

I would put a kit on my car in a heart beat... If there actually was kits that where as durable as stock bumpers and actually flowed and complemented the cb.

to rip a cluster out simply because it isnt unique isnt something to strive for. especiallty if u like the cluster, and if u dont like the cluster then u didnt put it in the car for the right reasons in first place. i have a lip one piece headlights and volks. and guess what i like it. am i conforming? not at all... does that make my car better or worse? no. when i did the things to my car that i did it was unique for one, and secondly i liked the way it looked and flows. oem parts flow well for a reason, and just because a lot of people recognize that doesnt make it bad. i personally like ur car, i think the turn signals and foglights are really awesome. and i agree jdm parts in the wrong hands can be terrible. not trying to step on any toes but personally i think jdm bumpers and intersection lights are both ugly as hell. but i do love oem jdm one piece headlights as well as the oem fogs. and a my car would look silly without a front lip.

You know my accord gets bashed more on this site than anybody elses, but I just laugh them off, its been been called rice so much that I need uncle ben as my sponsor. But I just laugh them off,WHY, for one I've owned mine since I bought it in the summer of 1992, I've put every mile on it and did all my own work except paint.People call it rice, well if they can do the fab work I did and consider it rice then they dont know what rice is.My hood, all sheet metal made and welded by yours truly,my fenders still metal, cut the holes in them and then put the pipe in and welded in place to give it the ported look,Rear qtr have been WIDENED 3" by adding the front fenders from a 86 accord and additional sheet metal from the door jam to the taillights and also flipped the gas door up.shaved the handles and moldings, welded plate into those locations,So when Everyone who bashes my car does so,I just laugh, because I know how much work was involved and that no one else will ever have one that looks like mine.I cant wait for it to come back out of the paintshop with its new look, then we will see what comments I get then.

Just because youre a skilled craftsman doesnt mean you made it look good.

To further my point- even if I appreciate the work behind it, I cant appreciate the outcome. Contrary to what appears to be popular belief, these two things are FAR from the same.
