I read this post and at the beginning, i was just getting so pissed. It was funny seeing how some people who are actually educated have pretty much just shut up half of the liberal idiots.
As far as the economy, it's been on the rise ever since the tax cuts instituted by Bush. It gave the american people more money to spend and invest, and they've been doing exactly that. Spending and savings is up since the tax cut. It was an equal tax cut, not one biased towards the rich like Kerry and his supporters made it seem.
The economy was in a recession when Bush took office. I think everyone is forgetting the Enron scandals and the fall of the dot com businesses that killed the market. They forget the affect of the terrorist attack on the market. Even after all of that, the economy is on the rise.
There will not be a draft. Kerry is the only one supporting it right now
The job loss, Did president Bush decide to lay off workers? no. Our government is close to a free market economy, they barely have any say in the jobs. The biggest job loss was seen with the fall of the dot com's and the corperate scandals that surfaced under the Bush administration, and even still, unemployment has been rising ever since. The un-employment rate right now is LOWER then what it was when Clinton started his second term. Lets see if Bush can top Clinton. With the rate at which jobs are forming now, I think it can happen, but we'll see.
Abortion is a simple issue. It's wrong, BUT you cannot take away the right completely. Abortion needs to be allowed, but up to morally acceptable terms. Kerry DID NOT support the partial birth abortion ban. Partial birth abortions take place when the woman is going into labor. That's WAY too long to wait for an abortion. Kerry supported USING tax payers money to support abortions. I do not agree with that, Abortions should be carried out with private money only. If the girl is less the 18 years old, she should need a parent or legal guardian's signature in order to get one done. Minors need to have a parents signature in order to be an organ donor, I think abortions should not be treated differently in that respect. I think there needs to be laws regulating how long a woman can wait for an abortion unless there is SIGNIFICANT medical resoning behind it, and they need to be carried out in a hospital at that point, not Planned Parenthood. 3 months is long enough for a woman to realize she is pregnant. Abortions should be illegal if it appears as though the baby has been growing for more then 90 days. A woman should know if she's missed 3 periods in a row, and started to gain weight.
As far as *** marriage. I kinda support it. I think that gays should be able to be united, but "marriage" is a term specific to the union of a man and a woman. If it's a *** union, it should be givin a different title, but they should see the same rights as a married man and woman.
