There's no question that Bush/Cheney will win Ohio, they're up by over 145,000 votes with 99% precincts reporting. Kerry will probly get lawyers into it and cry about how voters were intimidated and miscounted and blah blah blah blah but lets just face it...Bush beat you, get over it. Being a Bush/Cheney supporter, this is a very happy day (2 years for that matter) because we realize that all this work wasn't for nothing. I am proud to say that I voted for George W. Bush and Dick Cheney.

The thing is, the upper-income people vote. They all vote. They have something to protect by keeping Bush in office.
People who would benefit from having Kerry in office (which is the majority, unless there are more wealthy people than I thought!) don't vote as often. They are the less educated people oftentimes. They also make less money, and get paid by the hour. They can't take off of work to go vote, and they often have family responsibilities that keep them from doing so when they aren't working.
Yes, the "poor people can't or won't vote" thing is an excuse, but I've talked to many people in that range who have "excuses" as to why they didn't vote. IF the peoples' vote still matters, then Kerry's success would've been definite had all of the lower-middle and working class voted.Last edited by deevergote; 11-03-2004, 11:04 AM.

shit happens man. because once most of us graduate from college there will be no job openings. i think bush its in his father footsteps. when clinton got the office us had a high rate of unemplyment. that really sucked. has anyone seen the digits of the US economy. i mean if clinton stayed for another 4 years in the office the us goverment would have no loans to pay to the public. that would mean the the economy would have grown another 28%. that is crazy. a goverment without owing anyone money.
but with bush is crazy. i don't know what this guy if thinking. the only companies who are making big money are the companies where dick and bush seniour are working. they are making crazy money.
i don't get it how does missuri and middamerica vote for this guys. there are not jobs downthere. the only thing is to join the army. it is crazy. my whole family voted yesterday for the first time here in philly..... everyone in my place where i live voted for kerry.
i am better off finishing school and spent 4 years in europe. the ratio of the dollar to euro is big now. euro is owning everything. and i hear the european cb7 are cool.

An interesting side note to the election.
I heard that only 1 in 10 18-24 year olds voted. That's pretty sad because they said that it was enough to turn the tide.
Also, Bush Part 2 seems to cater more to the wealthy and ignore the middle to lower class...healthcare is one of the last things on his mind and it is one of the most pressing issues out there.
If you ask me, I think this is a bad decision on the part of the American people. There is talk about banning *** marriage, abortion and once again banning stem cell research, not to mention the ever present thread of another draft.
I'm just hoping there still is an America in 2008. Korea is scaring the hell out of me, Bin Laden is running around bragging for ever $1 he spends on us, we spend $1 million on him. He's just bleeding us dry.
I'm not bashing Bush here much, I don't think that Kerry would have made things much better, but I think neither candidate if focusing on the pressing issues.
