I passed on a 92 GT mint condition minus having the radio ripped out for $2200 a couple of years ago. I regret it every time i think about it.

I would say do it! I love fox body mustangs. I have owned 2 of them!! There is nothing wrong with loving Domestic and Import cars. I'm actually looking into buying my 3rd fox body stang. Just dont get one and turn into a DICK!!!!! lol j/k

Drop the 4.6L twin DOHC Cobra motor in that thing and you will love it. My 96 GT has the 4.6L Cobra motor in it and it's fast as hell.

I like mustangs, if I had my cb built nice and my 240 built nice...my next car would be either a falcon or a mustang.

edit...I do like that body style..it's the next body style I didn't like...


the 5.0 is not the best engine though...is it?...I wouldn't turbo that engine. Other than that...go for it. what you would spend on heads you might could get the cobra engine...but I don't know...look on some mustang forums best place. I imagine the body is stronger and can handle the power better...there is MUCH more aftermarket stuff for that car vs the cb...plus it's rwd

They have ton of potential, and if it is in good shape, I say snap it up, because they are getting hard to find in good shape.

im going to get explorer heads for it...for those that dont know.. the explorer motor is the same as the 5.0 cobra motor except for different valvetrain...the explorer has the gt40p heads on it...

The 96 4.6 was a slow motor. I would say put in the 99 up motor as they did update it. Thats faster. Me and my buddy blew up his 96 convertible just for that reason. But he can put a nice turbo or supercharger on the 5.0 and it would still be a bad mustang.
