well if he likes arguing with everyone and always wanting to be right while deleting peoples posts when they feel dumb, then yea he might. the only thing i ever see moderators do here is complain about sig sizes(which is understandable) and show off their masculinity by being e-dicks

I have never had any problems with the moderators on this site. That's probably partly because I follow the rules, but it's also partly because they're pretty level-headed and easy-going. You should see the moderators on a lot of other sites. These guys here are nothing compared to most sites' moderators.

madspleen i to feel that the rules are not being followed. although as nightwolf said its hard to put a title on your thread and no one looks. i bumped my for sale thread a little while ago and no one viewed it or posted its not helping since the title is "too much to list"


although there is another rule i see is being broken alot and no one even notices half the time

Why not just put a date in your thread title and just update it when you add new stuff so people know if you added something new?

The ebay rule rarely gets broken. The point of that is so people don't post up rare items that everyone wants, and only the select few members that can afford it end up getting it (because the bidding war ensues). When you post an ebay link for an $8000 CB7 with 20,000 questionable original miles... it's not exactly going to be a mad rush to buy it. Either people actually understand this rule for what it is, or it's mere coincidence that people don't post that stuff... of course, the really rare stuff is very hard to find anymore, even on ebay. It's not nearly as common as it was when that rule was made years ago.






Anyway, to comment on this thread. MadSpleen85 is absolutely right. Most people can see a maximum of 20 threads per page. When 3 people have 7 threads each, and they bump them ALL, it's not fair to the other members with things for sale.
So you don't like it when people don't look at your single mass-listing? I like it even less when my thread gets dropped to PAGE THREE every single day because of multiple pages. Be courteous. There are other people selling here as well.


Additionally, remember that selling on this site is a PRIVILEGE. You abide by the rules, or you lose that privilege. If I see multiple listings by one person on a single page (I'll be nice... you can have TWO, maximum, created around the same time.) I will delete them, PM you about it, and expect you to follow the rules. If you break them again, I will move you to 93a_lude's personal usergroup... where the Classifieds are permanently inaccessible




And to those that want to give him grief about bringing attention to the rules... fuck you. How do you think I ended up where I am? I did the same thing.
The staff here isn't paid. We're not here 24/7. We CAN NOT see everything. People bitch when the rules are broken, and wonder why we weren't on it immediately. But then when someone else stands up to help out, people bitch about that too... "let the moderating be done by the moderators".
This site has THOUSANDS of members, and a handful of moderators. I pay the bills. The mods an I run this site... but this is YOUR community. Take responsibility for it. Obey the rules, and say something when others don't. You don't have to attack them... just... don't expect the staff to do everything. We can't.

Once the Rules section is properly operational, it'll be easier to find everything that is needed... and therefore, the rules will be expected to be read, known, and followed.
