    buying used Cars

Any tips for someone looking for a CB7? Things to look at ? Things to do?

Just wondering if anyone had experience on this and could shed some light on.

    Compression testing?

    Thanks

If its a 5-speed check if the clutch grabs fine. The brakes, oil leaks, heater/air conditioning, Also if buying at night meet at a well lit area to check body damage.

Theres rust, its rusted through, Which is not a problem for 800$. I dont mind cause sask is snow central and finding a rust free cb is like trying to find a unicorn.. well unless you want to dish out 6K, yea im not kidding for a stock cb7 with 150xxx KM on the ticker.

Ok its an auto, so I dont have to worry about the clutch, any tests I can do while driving? I know brakes etc etc but anything else? The only thing i remember from my Mech teacher to do compression test, thats about it. Also I dont think it was bagged, the chick was the driver, and was hot as hell

Specific help cause just saying something wont help me out im a noob

well all of the auto cb's i have driven shifted hard. So don't be alarmed if it jerks you while shifting. Listen for any humming noises or clunks while driving. So you know if there is any front end work that needs to be done.
