Welp, I just went through my phone over the weekend, Restored to the newest firmware (2.2) to save some space on the phone, and spent a few hours re-customizing the phone to how I wanted it...


I open iTunes today and what do i see??? Upgrade to firmware 2.2.1... Damnit!

That means to upgrade, I have to restore with it, and re-build/customize my phone... Humph!

Yea, I just run it as its meant to be run, less issues.

I only stopped because of exactly what he's doing now. lol. Constant upgrades, which causes me to restore it, reinstall whatever on it, etc.

Why does it matter about the FW?

If you're talking about the updated baseband...you're kinda screwed...downgrading it won't change the baseband back to wahtever one came on 2.1

If you need it to be unlocked, use yellowsn0w

Otherwise, 2.2 is a good thing....right?

The new one is 2.2.1 though.

I'm prolly going to wait a week or two, and then do it again... that way I can add/remove features that i use/dont use or want... Give the phone a new start (again... and again... and again...)
