56K someone helpme out here

hello all to let you know i am far from a computer guru ive only owned this a year. so learning everyday. when on the diys ive noticed its in 56K and i cant see these pictures just boxes. i wanna learn the h23 manafold swap but cant see the pics. what should i do?

what! hsi?? im running hp a6130n with lg 19 flatmonitor and verizon fios. all about a year old so cant be dinasour just yet lol. so what is hsi seriously

i sell it for qwest in the speeds of 1.5mbps 7mbps 12mbps 20mbps
but qwest doesnt provide for your state

uh... nothing is "in" 56k. That refers to your modem speed. You should still be able to see them, they'll just take longer to load. Those white boxes with the red x indicate a missing image link, not your inability to access them. When people say 56k die or 56 k go away, they mean they have a lot of image data and people with slow connections (dial-up or 56k) are going to have slow load times.

Nothing is wrong with your computer (well at least as far as this is concerned). Whoever hosted those pics no longer does. Nobody can see them at this point.

And this was obviously recently, you haven't been here that long. Those pics have been missing for a while. I'm guessing your connection is faster now since you said "had 56k"? Go look now, still not there, are they? It didn't have anything to do with your connection speed.

good cause i called verizon and ive been on hold for 5minutes now so i hung up. and wouldve sounded stupid saying why my 56k isnt working.lol. ive never been interested in computers till the past couple of years and when i got married we bought this badass hp

are you talking about the 56K remark in the thread title? if so thats just referring that it has a lot of pics and if you are on 56k it will take forever to load them. the red x's are caused by the image no longer existing or for me at work i might not have the same software loaded as i do here so they dont load at work all the time.

if you are on verizon fios, supposedly the fastest internet out there, you shouldnt have a problem loading anything.
