man some cops are a trip

Just yesterday i went out for a cruise to go and pick up some tools. Then upon pulling up at a stoplight there was 3 cops on foot waiting at a bus-stop. I gradually held my foot on the clutch and coasted so that there wouldnt be any noise to mask it.

When i came to a stop i noticed a car pulling into the dunkin doughnuts station so i was courtious about it and let the car go through. So a few seconds later the light turns green and the cops are pointing at my car talking to each other and plottin and shit.

So my shorty in the car with me like hmm mike the cops are walking up to your car im like hey watch this. So then as they get off the sidewalk and walk towards my car shining the flashlight the cars up in front being so fuckin nosey rubber-necking and shit slow down.

I went right around that car(signaled first) and as the cops were pleading with me to stop i kept goin. My girl goes mike why didnt you stop im like riiight im gonna stop for police that are on foot with no car,I aint got time for that shit.

I told her i dont see any flashing red,white and blue lights behind me while cops are in a car/patrol vehicle im not stopping. All i see are white lights behind me and that can be another car. All i see is the green-light and im goin,why because im paying attention to whats in front of my not whats behind me while im driving eyes front and thats it.

Man please they where probably trying to give me a ticket over some dumb shit. I dont have time for that,they better have a good reason to because unless i got some shit in the car or they have reasonable suspicion that the car isnt registered or my license if fucked up good luck.

Because 9times out of ten they cant do me shit. I can take it to court when they try to mess with me and i can be like i didnt see them. Its on a late night you see people in the dark walkin towards your car would you stop for them hell no.

When the light changes you keep your eyes on the road not on the sidewalk,not on the corner,not behind you unless your changing lanes to double check.

he didnt say stop at all i had my windows rolled up and kept it moving. Flash lights in the dark dont mean shit. They where trying to approach but it was already too late the light changed. So it was either look guilty and pull over or fuckin keep goin let them catch up on foot lol. Theyll probably end up pullin someone else over. It was probably quota season ohwell.

Did it not occur to you that after you disobeyed the instructions of a police officer ordering you to stop, they might get your plate number and issue a warrant? If a police officer tells you to stop, you have to stop. It's the law. You're probably rolling on borrowed time right now. They've probably issued a bench warrant for your arrest. The police don't have authority because of flashing lights. They have the lights because they have the authority.

This statement is just ridiculous and makes you an unsafe driver:

While you're driving it's not "eyes front and that's it" You need to be aware of everything around you at all times. You should check your mirrors and your guages every ten to fifteen seconds. It can keep you from getting hit by the idiot that's not watching around him.

Back to the police problem:

In the cruiser, they turn the lights on to let you know they want you to stop. A cop on foot will yell at you to stop (at least until they get little light bars on the headgear) and it's the same thing: a lawful command from a police officer ordering you to stop. Failure to do so is a punishable offense. And this thread about you being aware that they wanted you to stop is admissable in a court of law if they choose to prosecute. It's a matter of public record!

A cop is supposed to pull you over with red white and blue lights in a cruiser. Not on foot at the last minute in the middle of the street while traffic is moving. That had to be honestly a rookie cop.

Out here in NYC you dont stop for the fuzz on foot. Especially when your in a car unless they pull you over in their own car. Unsafe driver yeah right my record is clean boss if it wasnt i wouldnt have the job i do know which requires you to have no priors on your driving record with moving violations or involvements on accidents. i say good job. lmao. the court asks, id tell them "ive heard of too many times of people being beat up and crap like that by people who dress up like cops. im going to stop for 3 guys walking up to my car that 'LOOK' like cops at NIGHT in NEW YORK?" last time i checked, cops dont walk around on foot. or at least i havent seen it. if they aint in a squad car, they're on a bike. ive never seen them on foot.

in my eyes, you just avoided a potentially dangerous situation where the cops have no camera to show that they did anything wrong if something were to happen.

anyone can dress in a cops clothing and have a flashlight. and as many hijackings take place in that area, i would hesitate, if not not even think about, stopping. at night, its hard to see who's holding the flashlight. its like looking into a car head on with the person's headlights on. its next to impossible to see who it is.

Yeah i know i saw them behind me and he wasnt in front of the car and the light turned green. So unless your in front of me. And i didnt run i just calmly drove off I didnt run. its hard to determine if someone is a cop or not. im not sure about visual's area but over here on the east coast, we've had a few incidents where people have posed as cops(full uniform, cruiser looking like a cop car, and all) that have pulled people over and ended up stealing their stuff or raping the females.


so yeah. at night, in NY, and 3 guys walking up to my car with flashlights? yeah. id question it real quick and being the way i am, id speed off. im not going to have 3 dudes walking up to my car like that try to pull me. issue a warrant if they want to. id rather them pull me later on or issue the warrant and go to court for it and let the judge know.
