    LG Dare... Anyone?

    Just got the LG Dare yesterday, and so far I'm very happy with it. Everything is fairly organic... took me no time to figure out how to work it.

    Anyone know if there are any good homebrew apps or hacks available? I've googled, and nothing I see looks too spectacular.

    I'm seriously considering one next month when I switch to Verizon. I'll hit you up about it then, Ben, and see if you still like it!

    It took me about a week to realize I hated my Razr. That thing didn't even last through the term of my contract! I'm currently using uslspct's old phone (that he was kind enough to let me use for as long as I need, even though I told him it sucked... )

      I wouldn't switch to verizon, I hate it. It's so damn expensive. The phones ARE the some of the nicest out there, but the service isn't as great as they claim(i get dropped calls often and I live in a decent sized city).

      I'd go with att or sprint.

        and so is alltel..or whoever they merged with, i was looking on CL on someones blackberry who had alltell, and it was like broadband.

        just stay away from tmobile. i'm with tmobile, and i'm using an iphone. the phone is great, but tmobile blows.

          I have an LG VU, and I found a site with a bunch of hacks and things like that for my phone. They have stuff for a lot of phones so you should check it out. I believe it is called howardforums.com. Im not 100% sure cuz I dont go ont the website, I just get email's everytime there is a new post for my phones "hack" section. Check it out let me know if it is any good for you.

          edit: lol I just realized you already came accross howardforums. look through it thoroughly, I found out tons of little things and modes and features my phone has that i otherwise wouldnt have nown about.

            i've got the dare, had it for about a month and a half and i LOVE it... i dont know about any hacks or anything like that but no issues with me so far, the only thing is the lag is a little bit more then it was when i first got it, but my friends samsung omnia is worse

              I'm on AT&T now. Aside from my friend Dana (who is my ONLY friend on AT&T that I talk to for any extended period of time) all my friends are on Verizon. I had a $25 call to one of them one month when I went over my minutes!

              AT&T has also been a bitch about splitting my plan... when the wife split, the bill didn't. I went to the store to do it, and they couldn't, or wouldn't. I had to call a million numbers... and it's STILL not split!
