Is it ok to use airsoft gun gas to power a lighter?

I just brought this lighter back from Australia, and I had to empty it to be able to take it with me on the plane as it is forbidden to have it in your baggage... I remembered when I got home that I have a can of Green Gas which is pretty much propane and filled the lighter up with it. It works great except the flame isn't so great as it was with the original gas which I believe was butane. Anyway this may seem stupid but is it alright to use that gas in a lighter? I mean there can't be any harm done to yourself or the lighter right?

You should be okay, but go buy a can of butane at the local convenience store for future use!
