That totally sucks. Get a vicious ass injury lawyer. Your back and neck are serious. You could have damages that won't show up for years.

not totalled but not cheap to fix. fully insured i hope? you should have called the cops and had the lady charged with causing the accident. from your description of the event both you and your buddy did the best you could to avoid it. panic stops and big trucks dont mix!

the important thing is that your ok. i know youve had all that back surgery and a rear end collision couldve been really really bad. totalled or not, the car wasn't your life. be thankful for that. your life couldve been totalled.

You need to take the rear bumper and the rebar off. from some of the pictures it looks like some of the metal behind it is torn/pushed into the trunk. That coupled with the bent metal of where the taillights used to be.

I'm going to put my guess on total'd.

for a 35mph rear end hit thats pretty damn awful! honestly i dont think it'll be totalled but insurance places are assholes. my friends car had no frame damage but since the airbags deployed they totaled his car. good luck!

Well, the old lady never stopped. A man on the sidewalk saw everything, but he couldn't get her plates. Another old couple in an old crown vic actually drove off the curb to try to catch her, but she had already gotten a good way down the road and they came back to me empty handed.


Today it gets towed to Patriot Collision Repair, where my family takes all of our body repairs, big or small. Hopefully they total it. Either way I'm screwed. They won't give me what it's worth, and if they do, I won't find one in this good of condition again.

And I was one of VERY few people putting carbon fiber on a muscle car. The trunk isn't repairable I don't think, but I must say, for being the second thing hit by a 5000 pound chevrolet truck, That deck lid took it like a champ.

when i crashed my sentra my cf hood took a direct hit and only had a 5 inch crack on one corner. cf can take a lickin!

thats actually surprising. Thing is a boat compared to most imports. and weights a fair bit more too.
