$40 Arospeed coilovers on $100 used blues, free j/y Recaros, free j/y 4pt Harnesses, free j/y MOMO wheel. $150 j/y turbo kit (probably close in price anyways).

It doesnt get more "budget" then that, although I cant immagine it being in any mags anytime soon.

My build has been pretty cheap, but I am far from a magazine car. I have also had the good fortune on having the hookup on A LOT of the nicer upgrades I have gotten in the past year.

Be careful on budget builds and do it right the first time with quality parts. Theres a limit but then theres that old saying you get what you pay for so keep that in mind when parts and prices seem too good to be true. Remember you heard it from me.

I'm far from a magazine, but I've got less than $1500 in mine, including the car and the stereo equipment. I don't think I've got the best budget build, but I'm damn proud that she'll run under 16s exactly like I drive it on the street.

LOl well not my accord but i did a stroker build in my old jeep

i used an old amc 4.2 carb engine and bolted up the 4.0 fuel injected head to it. much power increase


i think somehting like using other junkyard parts like swaps to make it go fsster is what you mean?

for expample like R33 did doing a dsm turbo build?

i know if i cant sell my car then i might as well fix it up and use the mp5 as a DD. sorta sux though cuz i wanted the car off the lawn -_-

Okay. If you've seen Project Car Magazine, they do builds, on a budget.
I was wondering who on here has the best build, on a small budget, comparing to what PCM has done in their feature cars.

i guess theres a fine line between a budget build.. and someone who has luck of the draw and can get serious hookups.. not pulling names but.. mike(chess) got some NASTY hookups through his job.. weither it was for R&D or not.. its still a nasty hookup.. his IQ3 and EMS are worth more than his entire car..if thats not a budget build with some bling i dont know what is..lol

yea the mp5 rocks. just wanna get a 1 inch drop only though. i dont want the honda hassles again
might consider some rx-8 wheels though lol. the shifts are so smooth in this car and its really peppy! gotta love that 5spd lol
