          all depends on how much money I have to put into them... for cb7tuner members they will be cheaper than what they go for on average on ebay, but untill I get into them, i wont know...

            I have a T-Mobile account.. I heard that if you remove the SIM Card from an unlocked iPhone, it'll lock again. True? How do I avoid something like that?

              I dont think its true... I have been swapping sims now a few times... You can also just do a JAILBREAK with unlocking and it will work...

                My cousin works for Apple, and he's the one that told me that.. and cautioned me about it.. Then again.. he's not like some sort of high ranking personnel nor does he have anything to do with technological development or anything for Apple.

                  just try it with somebody's phone... if it works, great, if it doesnt... then its not your phone!

                  you can always ship me your sim, i can test it, and then ship it back (but I doubt you would want to do that)

                    False. I've taken my sim card out of my iPhone a few times to show people how I unlocked it, and no problems what so ever. My phone was off when I took it out a few times, and my phone has been on as well. No problems. Why would you need to take your sim card out of your phone though?

                      @npor:
                      Ok good to know. I can't really think of any scenario where I'd take the sim card off. I'm pretty sure it doesn't have a battery (other than the rechargable internal one), but you know, just incase some reason does arise where I'd have to remove my sim... I wouldn't want the phone to lock again.

                      *EDIT*
                      Npor, do you have the 1st gen or a 3G?

                          I've got a 3G. I currently use the Gevey3G sim card adapter to work with my Tmobile sim card. Some people have had a lot of problems using this method, but I have had very minimal problems. I just set my APN (internet) up, and went. The only bad thing about buying a 3G now, is 9 times out of 10 it'll be the 2.2 Firmware, not 2.1. The reason that's significant is because the 2.1FW can be easily unlocked using the Gevey3G sim card adapter. The 2.2FW has an updated baseband that blocks the Gevey3G sim card adapter, however the iphone dev-team came out with a software unlock called yellowsn0w. It can be tricky to get working, but if you buy an iPhone that's already updated to the 2.2 firmware, then it will be your only choice. If you're deciding between buying a 1st gen or a 3G, the only real differences between the phones is the size (3g is a few mm's thicker), has a black or white shiny back depending on what color you buy, and the 3G capabilities, which won't matter to you because you will not be able to take advantage of 3g. Tmobile works on a different frequency than AT&T, and that goes with the 3G aswell. You will have edge, which isn't as fast, but it certainly isn't the slowest.

                          I'm pretty sure I answered a few questions you didn't ask, but I was on a roll. Haha. Let me know if you have any more questions

                            None of that applies to me, but I am glad that you shared... Since I have AT&T I dont have to worry about the whole t-mobile thing, but it is still a good thing to know...

                                Well, I'm bored and on cb7tuner on the phone, so I figured I can give an update... Still waiting for the digizers for the phones, so I am using this one with the broken screen. I also changed the boot logo from the pineapple to a different apple logo. I also added a video recorder, tweaked some things and changed the carrier name to a custom one... Not a big deal, but it's quite a bit especially with a broken screen...
