AIM issues?

Any one else having problems with the newer versions of aim? (6.0+)

It will say configuring and then say connection failed.

is this happening with any one else?

Ever tried Trillan? I know there is couple other alternatives, but trillan is the only one I've personally used.

pigeon is a good aim alternative. reminds me a lot of ichat, except without all the shiny buttons.

fuck that noise. use meebo.com or ebuddy.com. no use in installing spyware/spam on your pc like aim or msn. meebo has msn, aim, etc. since you have an aim account you should be good to go.


oh and my friend cant sign on to his aim either. something about logging in too many times???

I actually went to oldversions.com and downloaded a pretty old version of AIm. Works good and not so much trouble like the new ones.
